This kiln stands as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, delivering unparalleled efficiency and precision with every rotation. products produced by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln demonstrate exceptional stability and consistent quality, boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It flawlessly meets the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, improving the magnesium extraction rate and enhancing silicon utilization. This significantly lowers production costs and reduces metallic magnesium consumption,. It is the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing industry, truly a pinnacle of innovation.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is broken into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield high-quality finished magnesium ingots.
