Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, designed with precision to align perfectly with the intricate calcining characteristics of dolomite and the specific needs of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the critical foundation of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln deliver consistently stable and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby boosting magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon usage, while significantly reducing the costs associated with the production and consumption of metallic magnesium. It is the premier equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, establishing the standard for superiority.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled efficiently by a sophisticated cooler. It is further ground into fine powder using advanced ball mill machinery and shaped into balls with a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, turning dolomite into calcined white. This is then carefully mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.

This sophisticated design significantly boosts thermal efficiency and delivers outstanding economic returns.
