Harnessing the power of the innovative rotary kiln volatilization method, this advanced process begins with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore and either coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact proportions. This expertly crafted mixture is carefully introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln elegantly rotates, the materials steadily progress forward, guided by a forceful blast. Within this dynamic environment, a high-temperature reaction zone is established, reaching between 1000-1200ºC, enabling the reduction of zinc metal compounds through a carbon reducing agent. This transformation yields metal zinc vapor, which subsequently enters the gas phase. Here, the zinc vapor seamlessly interacts with atmospheric oxygen, oxidizing into zinc oxide dust. This dust, along with the accompanying flue gas, is skillfully captured by a sophisticated dust collection system, leading to the creation of a high-quality low-grade zinc oxide product. In addition, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium experience reduction and oxidation, contributing to the end product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.

The backbone of this groundbreaking system is an impressive ensemble of equipment, including a robust Roots blower, the integral rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, an efficient dust collector, a comprehensive desulfurization system, a precise batching system, an advanced granulator, and a complex network of state-of-the-art conveying equipment, all working harmoniously to ensure flawless operation throughout the process.
