As this mixture enters the kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe, the rotary kiln performs its transformative dance, rotating with elegance and guiding the materials forward. Aided by a powerful forced blast, the kiln becomes a crucible of creation, reaching a high-temperature reaction zone of 1000-1200ºC. Within this fiery embrace, zinc metal compounds yield to the carbon reducing agent, metamorphosing into metal zinc vapor that gracefully enters the gas phase. Upon meeting oxygen, the vapor transforms into zinc oxide dust, captured with precision by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. The outcome is a refined low-grade zinc oxide product. Metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, are also refined through reduction and oxidation, enhancing the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain within the kiln slag, maintaining their noble presence.
