Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, precisely engineered to cater to the distinct calcining needs of dolomite and the rigorous process standards of the prestigious Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is the heart of the dolomite calcining system, offering unmatched efficiency and accuracy. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and consistent quality,boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It perfectly aligns with the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, enhancing magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon utilization, which significantly cuts down production costs and reduces metallic magnesium usage.It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry, ensuring superior performance and cost-effectiveness.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, moving through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is thoroughly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
