Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line showcases an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously designed to cater to the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite. It meets the precise needs of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, serving as the pivotal element of the dolomite calcining system. This advanced products emerging from our state-of-the-art rotary kiln consistently deliver stable and homogenous quality, exhibiting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures stringent adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon utilization. It significantly reduces the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium,making it the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the benchmark for unparalleled excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precisely crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
