It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds meticulously through several stages: starting with raw material storage, advancing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, then sintered in a rotary kiln, followed by cooling in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. The resulting powder is then compressed into balls via a ball press. The calcined dolomite is thoroughly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed in heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature rises to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
