Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, designed with precision to harmonize with the exclusive calcining characteristics of dolomite and meet the exacting specifications of the Pidgeon method for superior magnesium smelting. It is the linchpin of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln demonstrate unwaveringly stable and uniform quality, showcasing exceptional activity and negligible ignition loss. This guarantees full alignment with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, enhancing magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon utilization, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs linked with metal magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium sector, setting the standard for innovation and excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. To start, the raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled efficiently by a state-of-the-art cooler. It is further ground into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then expertly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to achieve a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
