The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of well-orchestrated stages: starting with the storage of raw materials, transitioning to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is meticulously broken into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then expertly compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and surface treated to produce polished magnesium ingots.
