This innovative design elevates the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, substantially reducing production costs and magnesium consumption,. It is the cornerstone equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The intricate journey of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to the ideal size (20-40mm), sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled, and finely ground in a ball mill. This powder is then pressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a unified dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further purified, cast into ingots, and treated to produce finished magnesium ingots.
