This avant-garde method, known as the rotary kiln volatilization technique, begins with the precise amalgamation of zinc oxide ore with the ideal proportions of coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This expertly balanced blend is then introduced into the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe with precision and care. As the kiln majestically rotates, the materials advance effortlessly. A dynamic forced blast creates a high-temperature reaction zone within the kiln, reaching a remarkable 1000-1200ºC. This extraordinary heat facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into zinc metal vapor, which transitions into the gas phase. Within this phase, the zinc vapor impeccably encounters oxygen, oxidizing into zinc oxide dust. This dust is masterfully captured by the dust collection system, along with the flue gas, culminating in the production of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Moreover, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, undergo a meticulous reduction and oxidation process, contributing to the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver gracefully remain within the kiln slag.
