This innovative design improves the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: commencing with raw material storage, followed by precise dolomite calcination, efficient grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then expertly compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, which is strategically placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield pristine magnesium ingots.
