The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature escalates to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is meticulously extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment, thereby yielding pristine magnesium ingots.
