Comprehensive Magnesium Smelting ProcessOur magnesium smelting process unfolds through a meticulously structured series of stages. It commences with raw material storage and proceeds through dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, and concludes with reduction and refining. The journey begins with raw dolomite, expertly broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher. It is then sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. The resultant powder is pressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then intricately mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures reach 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
