The metallic magnesium production line represents an expertly engineered marvel, a rotary kiln meticulously crafted to meet the unique calcining attributes of dolomite while satisfying the precise requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This facility is the very cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, setting a new standard in state-of-the-art engineering. products emerging from the rotary kiln are distinguished by their consistently stable and homogenous quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This adherence ensures full compliance with the stringent Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. The result is a substantial reduction in both production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential solution for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting an unrivaled benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses every meticulous stage from raw material storage to the final refining. It spans dolomite calcination, precision grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimally sized (20-40mm) pieces by specialized crushers, then sintered in an advanced rotary kiln before being effectively cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is then finely pulverized into powder using state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and shaped into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in either a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming the dolomite into calcined white. This is then expertly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create the ideal dough, which is placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C with a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium-quality magnesium ingots.
