Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a meticulously engineered rotary kiln, designed with precision to cater to the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and the demanding process requirements of the revered Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the central component of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln ensures unmatched efficiency and precision. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit outstanding stability and consistent quality, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, perfectly aligning with the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This advanced design boosts magnesium extraction rates and enhances silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and the consumption of metallic magnesium,. It stands as an essential apparatus for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting includes a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment, resulting in finished magnesium ingots.
