The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a meticulous sequence of stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is carefully crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is meticulously extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to yield pristine magnesium ingots.
