The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of expertly orchestrated stages: commencing with raw material storage, advancing to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a high-efficiency rotary kiln, cooled in a state-of-the-art cooler, and finely ground by a precision ball mill. This resultant powder is then expertly compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly amalgamated with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into advanced heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is progressively elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is meticulously extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield premium finished magnesium ingots.
