Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line boasts an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to perfectly complement the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and meet the exacting requirements of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, this state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln exhibit consistently stable and homogenous quality, enhanced by remarkable activity and minimal ignition loss. These attributes ensure full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, significantly boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while dramatically reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It represents the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting a new benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses every critical stage, from raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, through to reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) via specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled effectively by a sophisticated cooler. This is followed by pulverization into fine powder using advanced ball mill machinery and conversion into balls with a high-performance ball press. Through calcination in a rotary or vertical kiln, dolomite is transformed into calcined white. This is then expertly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, achieving temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
