Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a marvel of engineering, featuring an expertly designed rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to harmonize with the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and the stringent demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It stands proudly as the cornerstone of the advanced dolomite calcining system. This state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently demonstrate stable and homogenous quality, boasting superior activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing the utilization of silicon, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium sector, epitomizing the benchmark for industry excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled using a sophisticated cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an optimal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
