Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed and expertly engineered rotary kiln, precisely crafted to embrace the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and meet the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It stands as the indispensable cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln ensure consistently stable and homogenous quality, boasting extraordinary activity and negligible ignition loss. This ensures complete alignment with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate, optimizing silicon utilization, and significantly reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the benchmark for excellence and innovation.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then expertly sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled effectively by a sophisticated cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
