This is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination, pivotal in the magnesium manufacturing domain.
The comprehensive magnesium smelting processunfolds through a sequence of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, advancing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to optimal dimensions (20-40mm) using a crusher, then sintered in a rotary kiln, followed by cooling in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then formed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is evenly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, the temperature escalates to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, facilitating the extraction of crude magnesium, which is then refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
