Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterpiece of engineering-a rotary kiln designed with precision to meet the unique calcining properties of dolomite and the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the centerpiece of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge products produced from the rotary kiln consistently display a uniform and stable quality, ensuring exceptional activity and a minimal ignition loss. This ensures unwavering compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon utilization while dramatically reducing both the production and consumption costs of metal magnesium. It is the definitive equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, establishing a new standard of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process includes stages such as raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precisely crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then undergoes sintering in a rotary kiln and efficient cooling by an advanced cooler. It's further milled to a fine powder in state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls with a high-performance press. Calcination occurs in either a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite to calcined white. This mixture is expertly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and undergoes reduction in a furnace at 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and thorough surface treatment to produce top-quality magnesium ingots.
