As the rotary kiln rotates with majestic precision, the materials gracefully move forward. A powerful forced blast creates a high-temperature reaction zone, reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. Within this intense environment, zinc metal compounds undergo a transformative reduction by a carbon reducing agent, evolving into metal zinc vapor in the gas phase. This zinc vapor mingles with atmospheric oxygen, brilliantly oxidizing into zinc oxide dust, which is skillfully captured alongside the flue gas by the advanced dust collection system. The outcome is the extraction of low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, experience similar reduction and oxidation processes, enriching the final product.
