This meticulously crafted mixture is then guided through the kiln tail discharge pipe into the illustrious rotary kiln. As the kiln rhythmically rotates, it gently propels the materials forward, all while a dynamic forced blast generates a high-temperature reaction zone, reaching impressive temperatures between 1000-1200ºC. This blazing heat enables the transformation of zinc metal compounds into metal zinc vapor through a carbon reducing agent. The zinc vapor then engages with air-borne oxygen, undergoing oxidation into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. This sophisticated process culminates in the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, experience reduction and oxidation, adding to the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.
