The zinc vapor then engages with air-borne oxygen, undergoing oxidation into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, experience reduction and oxidation, adding to the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.
