This advanced design significantly enhances the magnesium extraction rate and improves silicon utilization, dramatically reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a sequence of meticulous stages: beginning with raw material storage, then dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then expertly compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is seamlessly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form an ideal cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to meticulous surface treatment to yield premium finished magnesium ingots.
