The journey begins as zinc oxide ore is meticulously mixed with precise amounts of coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This expertly crafted blend enters the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln majestically rotates, the materials are gently propelled forward. Within this dynamic environment, a high-temperature reaction zone, reaching a remarkable 1000-1200ºC, is meticulously maintained by a forced blast. Here, a carbon reducing agent effectively reduces zinc metal compounds, transforming them into valuable metal zinc vapor. This vapor then meets oxygen, undergoing oxidation to form zinc oxide dust. This dust, together with the flue gas, is skillfully collected by a sophisticated dust collection system, resulting in the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium also contribute to the final product through reduction and oxidation processes, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver elegantly remain within the kiln slag, ensuring nothing valuable is lost.
