This avant-garde process, known as the rotary kiln volatilization method, begins with the precise blending of zinc oxide ore with expertly measured coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This finely calibrated mixture is then artfully introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln majestically revolves, the materials glide forward effortlessly. A formidable forced blast generates a high-temperature reaction zone within the kiln, reaching an astonishing 1000-1200ºC. This intense heat facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into zinc metal vapor, which transitions into the gas phase. Here, the zinc vapor meets oxygen, undergoing oxidation into zinc oxide dust. This dust is meticulously captured by our state-of-the-art dust collection system, accompanied by the flue gas, yielding a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals abundant in zinc, such as lead and indium, are reduced and oxidized to enhance the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain exquisitely in the kiln slag.
