Known industry-wide as the rotary kiln volatilization method, this sophisticated process begins with the precise combination of zinc oxide ore with either coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This meticulously blended mixture is then introduced into the kiln via the tail discharge pipe. As the kiln's robust rotary mechanism sets in motion, the materials advance with gentle precision. A strategically implemented forced air blast generates a high-temperature reaction zone within the kiln, reaching intense temperatures of 1000-1200ºC. This heat catalyzes the reduction of zinc compounds through a carbon reducing agent, transmuting them into metal zinc vapor. The vapor then interacts with ambient oxygen, oxidizing into zinc oxide dust, which is deftly captured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. This process yields a refined low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium are subjected to reduction and oxidation to enhance the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain gracefully ensconced in the kiln slag.

At the heart of this revolutionary process are several integral components: the formidable Roots blower, the pivotal rotary kiln, and the kiln tail smoke chamber. Together with a surface air cooler, a state-of-the-art dust collector, an effective desulfurization system, a precise batching system, a cutting-edge granulator, and a sophisticated network of conveying equipment, every stage of operation is meticulously orchestrated for optimal efficiency and performance.
