The process begins with a meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore and either coke powder or smokeless crushed coal, measured to perfection. This expertly combined mixture is fed into the kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln rotates smoothly and steadily, the materials traverse forward, ushered by a powerful forced blast. Within this dynamic environment, a high-temperature reaction zone emerges, reaching between 1000 and 1200ºC. Such blistering heat drives the reduction of zinc metal compounds, facilitated by a carbon reducing agent, converting them into metal zinc vapor. This vapor then embraces oxygen in a transformative dance, becoming oxidized into zinc oxide dust, which is deftly captured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. The finale is the production of low-grade zinc oxide. During this process, metals abundant in zinc, like lead and indium, experience unique reduction and oxidation, enhancing the final product. Meanwhile, copper and noble metals such as gold and silver, remain elegantly within the kiln slag.

This pioneering process system is built on a robust and sophisticated assembly of equipment, including a high-performance Roots blower, the central rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a precision surface air cooler, an advanced dust collector, an efficient desulfurization system, a precise batching system, a granulator, and an intricate network of state-of-the-art conveying equipment, ensuring flawless functionality at every phase of operation.
