Known as the rotary kiln volatilization method, this process begins when zinc oxide ore is meticulously blended with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in precise proportions. This perfect mixture is then introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln rotates with majestic precision, the materials smoothly progress forward. Assisted by a powerful forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone reaching a scorching 1000-1200ºC is established within the kiln. This intense thermal environment enables the reduction of zinc metal compounds into brilliant metal zinc vapor through a carbon reducing agent, which gracefully transitions into the gas phase. Upon encountering oxygen from the air, the zinc vapor undergoes oxidation, transforming into zinc oxide dust. This dust is expertly collected by a high-efficiency dust collection system, along with the flue gas, resulting in the extraction of low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals with high zinc content, such as lead and indium, also undergo reduction and oxidation, enhancing the final product, while valuable metals like copper, gold, and silver, remain elegantly embedded within the kiln slag.
