The journey commences with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal, calibrated to perfection. This optimized blend is then carefully introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln pivots with majestic rhythm, the materials gradually progress forward, accompanied by a powerful forced blast. Within this dynamic environment, a high-temperature reaction zone is generated, reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. Here, zinc metal compounds are reduced by a carbon reducing agent, transitioning into metal zinc vapor. This vaporized zinc then gracefully interacts with oxygen, transforming into zinc oxide dust, which is skillfully captured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas, culminating in the extraction of a superior low-grade zinc oxide product. Moreover, the process adeptly facilitates the reduction and oxidation of zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium, enriching the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain elegantly embedded within the kiln slag.

The backbone of this pioneering process system is an impressive ensemble of sophisticated equipment, each playing a vital role in its seamless operation. The system includes a robust Roots blower, the central rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, an efficient dust collector, a comprehensive desulfurization system, an advanced batching system, a granulator, and a network of sophisticated conveying equipment, all harmonizing to ensure optimal performance at every stage.
