Renowned as the rotary kiln volatilization method, this brilliant process begins when zinc oxide ore is meticulously combined with either coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact proportions. This mixture is then delicately introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln gracefully rotates, the materials advance forward with poise. Supported by a powerful blast, a high-temperature reaction zone is established within the kiln, boasting temperatures that soar between 1000-1200ºC. This intense heat masterfully facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds using a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor that seamlessly enters the gas phase. In this phase, the zinc vapor elegantly meets oxygen from the air, undergoing oxidation into zinc oxide dust, which is skillfully captured by the advanced dust collection system along with the flue gas. The outcome is the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Furthermore, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, participate in reduction and oxidation, enriching the final product, while copper, alongside precious metals like gold and silver, elegantly remain within the kiln slag.

The backbone of this pioneering process system is an impressive collection of equipment: a robust Roots blower, the central rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, an efficient dust collector, an advanced desulfurization system, a precise batching system, a sophisticated granulator, and an interconnected network of advanced conveying equipment, all ensuring smooth and seamless operation at every crucial stage.
