The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process is an intricate journey through stages such as raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. It begins with the precision crushing of raw dolomite into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers. This is followed by sintering in a rotary kiln and efficient cooling via an advanced cooler. The process continues with pulverization into fine powder through sophisticated ball mill machinery, which is then expertly formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, where dolomite is transformed into calcined white, then combined meticulously with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfectly blended dough. This mixture is placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and precise surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots of the highest quality.
