This innovative design elevates the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, markedly reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature rises to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
