As the central component of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln guarantees unparalleled efficiency and precision. products developed by this advanced rotary kiln display exceptional stability and consistent quality, showcasing high reactivity and minimal ignition loss, flawlessly meeting the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This not only optimizes the magnesium extraction rate and silicon utilization but also substantially lowers production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is undoubtedly the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: from raw material storage through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, to reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled via a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then expertly pressed into balls by a ball press. The calcined dolomite is seamlessly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within a reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. Here, crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to produce premium finished magnesium ingots.
