Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, crafted with precision to adapt to the specific calcining characteristics of dolomite while meeting the exacting demands of the Pidgeon method used in magnesium smelting. Serving as the pivotal element of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently deliver outstanding, stable, and uniform quality, showcasing exceptional activity and negligible ignition loss. This ensures stringent adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, significantly enhancing magnesium yield and optimizing silicon usage, while dramatically reducing both production and consumption costs inherent to metal magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, setting an unparalleled standard of excellence.
The end-to-end magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. To begin, raw dolomite is expertly crushed into precise sizes (20-40mm) by our specialized crushers, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln and efficient cooling via an advanced cooler. The material is further pulverized into fine powder using state-of-the-art ball mill technology and formed into briquettes through a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form an ideal dough, which is placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, undergoing reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of raw magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and careful surface treatment to produce top-grade magnesium ingots.
