Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line features a precision-engineered rotary kiln, designed with meticulous attention to the distinct calcining properties of dolomite. It meets the rigorous process demands of the revered Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting with finesse. As the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining setup, this kiln offers unmatched efficiency and precision. products crafted by this advanced rotary kiln are marked by exceptional stability and uniform quality consistency,while boasting high reactivity. Additionally, with minimal loss on ignition, it meets the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting seamlessly. This innovative design enhances the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, leading to significantly reduced production costs and lower consumption of metallic magnesium,positioning itself as the essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive magnesium smelting processunfolds through a systematic series of stages: starting with raw material storage, advancing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, then sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This fine powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive blend, which is then placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment, resulting in high-quality finished magnesium ingots.
