A ball mill is a versatile and robust grinding equipment designed to grind and blend materials into fine powders for use in mineral processing, cement, ceramics, paints, pyrotechnics, and other industries. It operates on the principle of impact and attrition, where grinding media (typically steel or ceramic balls) reduce particle size through collision and friction.
High Efficiency - Achieves uniform particle size reduction for consistent product quality.
Wide Applicability - Suitable for both dry and wet grinding processes.
Customizable Design - Available in various sizes (lab-scale to industrial) and materials (rubber-lined, steel-lined, etc.).
Low Maintenance - Simple structure with durable components for long-term operation.
Adjustable Fineness - Control grinding time and speed to achieve desired particle size.
The ball mill rotates around a horizontal axis, partially filled with grinding media and raw material. As the cylinder rotates, the balls are lifted and then cascade down, crushing and grinding the material through impact and friction.
