Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an ingeniously crafted rotary kiln, meticulously designed to perfectly suit the distinctive calcining characteristics of dolomite and the specific demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the pivotal element within the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln display a consistently stable and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thus significantly boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while dramatically reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the gold standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is expertly crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-efficiency ball press. The calcination takes place in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then carefully combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield superior quality magnesium ingots.
