Product Introduction
The advanced metallic magnesium production line is an innovative rotary kiln meticulously engineered, focusing on the unique calcining attributes of dolomite. It meets the demanding requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the heart of the dolomite calcining system, it embodies cutting-edge technology and precision. products crafted by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln boast exceptional stability and uniformity, ensuring, high activity and low ignition loss. These products seamlessly align with the stringent process mandates of the Pidgeon method, optimizing magnesium extraction rates and enhancing silicon utilization efficiencies. This minimizes the production costs and consumption of metal magnesium. Thus, it stands as the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcining in the magnesium sector.
The comprehensive magnesium smelting process encompasses several crucial stages: raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, followed by reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is meticulously crushed to precision (20-40mm) using a crusher, then sintered in a rotary kiln. After efficiently cooling in a cooler, it's finely ground into powder using a ball mill and fashioned into balls by a ball press. The calcined dolomite, processed in the rotary or vertical kiln, undergoes additional transformation into a fine calcined white. It's then expertly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, creating a perfect dough. This concoction is placed into a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to a rigorous reduction process at 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The resulting crude magnesium is then refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment, culminating in the production of superior quality finished magnesium ingots.

3) The rotary kiln's forefront features a vertical cooler, ingeniously harnessing the residual heat from high-temperature whitened materials. This heat is used to preheat secondary air to a robust 650°C, vastly improving thermal efficiency and yielding excellent economic returns.
