Zinc oxide ore is meticulously combined with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact ratios before being expertly introduced into the kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln elegantly rotates, it gently guides the materials forward. Assisted by a powerful forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone is created within the kiln, reaching a staggering 1000-1200ºC. This intense heat drives the reduction of zinc metal compounds using a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor, which transitions into the gas phase. Upon meeting oxygen from the air, the zinc vapor is transformed into zinc oxide dust, efficiently captured by an advanced dust collection system along with the flue gas. The outcome is the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, the process involves the reduction and oxidation of zinc-rich metals like lead and indium, further enriching the final product, while elements such as copper and precious metals like gold and silver elegantly reside within the kiln slag.
