The expertly mixed blend is then introduced into the kiln through the tail discharge pipe. As the kiln gracefully rotates, the materials advance with precision. Supported by a strategic forced blast, an intense high-temperature reaction zone emerges within the kiln, reaching a scorching 1000-1200ºC. This heat catalyzes the reduction of zinc metal compounds using a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into zinc vapor. This vapor, upon coming into contact with ambient oxygen, is oxidized into zinc oxide dust, which is efficiently captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. This results in the extraction of a high-quality low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium undergo reduction and oxidation, enriching the final product, while metals like copper, gold, and silver remain within the kiln slag, preserving their intrinsic value.
