The comprehensive magnesium smelting process encompasses a series of meticulously orchestrated stages: from raw material storage to dolomite calcination, followed by grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. The dolomite begins its journey by being crushed into precisely graded materials (20-40mm) via an efficient crusher. It is then sintered in the rotary kiln, subsequently cooled in a state-of-the-art cooler, milled into a fine powder with a ball mill, and finally, pressed into balls by an advanced ball press. The calcination process occurs within the rotary or vertical kiln, where dolomite is transformed into calcined white. This is then crushed and carefully blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a uniform mixture. The mixture is packed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks, placed in a reduction furnace, and subjected to high temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa.
