The intricate process of magnesium smelting is a symphony of steps including raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Here, the raw material, dolomite, undergoes a transformation as it is expertly crushed into qualified materials (20-40mm) by state-of-the-art crushers, sintered to perfection in a rotary kiln, and gracefully cooled by a sophisticated cooler. Ground into fine powder by a precision ball mill and pressed into uniform balls by an advanced ball press, the dolomite is then painstakingly calcined into pristine calcined white within the rotary or vertical kiln. This is intricately crushed and harmoniously blended with ferrosilicon powder and fluorite powder to create a perfect dough, subsequently nestled into a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank. In the reduction furnace, at precise temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a delicate vacuum of 1.33Pa, the transformation reaches its pinnacle. The product: crude magnesium, which undergoes further refinement through flux refining, ingot casting, and sophisticated surface treatment, culminates in the creation of refined and exquisite magnesium ingots.
