Beginning this meticulous process, zinc oxide ore is expertly combined with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in carefully calculated proportions. This blend is then gracefully channeled into the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln embarks on its majestic rotation, the materials progress forward with finesse. Supported by a potent forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone emerges within the kiln, reaching temperatures between 1000-1200ºC. This intense thermal environment enables the proficient reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, transforming these compounds into metal zinc vapor. This vapor, now in the gas phase, encounters ambient oxygen and undergoes a transformation into zinc oxide dust. This zinc oxide is expertly captured by an advanced dust collection system, accompanied by the flue gas, resulting in the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals enriched with zinc, such as lead and indium, undergo a series of reduction and oxidation processes, contributing to the high-quality final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver elegantly remain within the kiln slag.
