Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, crafted with precision to meet the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and the specific demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. Serving as the bedrock of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge products produced from the rotary kiln consistently showcase stable and homogeneous quality,, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, significantly boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. Consequently, it dramatically reduces the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium.. It represents the pinnacle of equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting a new standard of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination process occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then methodically combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect mixture, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, achieving temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and painstaking surface treatment to produce premium-grade magnesium ingots.
