Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterpiece of engineering-a rotary kiln designed with precision to meet the unique calcining requirements of dolomite and the high standards of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the core of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln offers unmatched efficiency and precision, becoming an essential component in the metallurgical field. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and uniform quality, boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. This equipment precisely fulfills the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, thereby optimizing the magnesium extraction rate and enhancing silicon utilization. The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of carefully orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, moving through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and finally to reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then evenly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mix, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
