The entire magnesiumsmelting process is a meticulously orchestrated series of stages: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. First, the raw dolomite is reduced to optimal sizes (20-40mm) by a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled by a cooler, and finely ground using a ball mill. The resultant powder is pressed into balls through a ball press. Subsequently, the calcined dolomite is uniformly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment, producing finished magnesium ingots.
