Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, purpose-built to meet the distinctive calcining needs of dolomite and the demanding process requirements of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the heart of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln delivers unsurpassed efficiency and precision in every operation. products crafted by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and unwavering quality consistency,, showcasing impressive reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. This system impeccably aligns with the stringent standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, boosting magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon usage, thereby dramatically reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is an essential component for dolomite calcination within the magnesium production industry.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process involves a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, leading to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. The process begins by breaking down raw dolomite into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then evenly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a unified dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
